The Central Columbia Basin Playground
Moses Lake is centrally located in the eastern desert of Washington State. A playground for summer visitors as they enjoy the sun, sand, and water that offers many recreational opportunities. The large natural lake is a fisherman's dream in early spring when Walleye are biting. Later as summer makes for
hot days and warm nights boats, jet skies, and ATV's find weekend homes
locally as camping and RV parks fill.
As Summer draws near Fall
the lake takes on a special character, a strange odor begins to fill the
air in the Neppel Landing area as Milfoil, growing well in the warm waters,
blooms. This happens in August and ushers in the Walk
on Water Festival. Events range from
the 100 meter Water Moon Walk to Carp hopping. Guided excursions on the
Green Machine are limited to VIP government officials. Sorry...
